ECONOMIC SITUATION: Philippine economy grew by 8.3% for the first quarter of 2022 which is an improvement from the -3.9% last year. More Filipinos also continue to find more jobs, with unemployment rate being down to 5.8%.
SHOPPING BEHAVIOUR: Shoppers from NCR, NLUZ, Visayas, and Mindanao among Class ABC1, D, and E homes are spending more for the first quarter of 2022 vs previous quarter.
CHANNEL LANDSCAPE: SSS remains to be the preferred channel of Filipinos but there is continuous recovery for Hyper/Supers. Top Hyper/Supers grow share.
